Balaji Marble

Balaji Marble has been sitting here at Plot No. 73 for quite some time now. We are right on Bidhannagar Road, not too far from the Bazaar bus stop and the EM Bypass. It's a crowded part of Tiljala, so there is always something going on outside our doors with the traffic and people moving about. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of different stones inside. I spend most of my mornings moving things around to make space for customers to walk through the displays. It's a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but it works for us. Most of the people who come in live nearby in VIP Nager or around the market area. They usually want something for a small renovation or a bathroom floor. I tell them to take their time looking because marble is something you have to live with for years. We carry different grades and colors, mostly whatever is in demand locally. The traffic on the road can be a real headache when we are trying to unload a fresh truckload, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. I don’t use any fancy sales tactics or marketing brochures. I just show people what we have and tell them the price. If it works for them, that's great. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting and keeping the stock organized. It’s a family-run kind of place and we prefer it that way. No big corporate rules here.
