B. R. Trading Company

If you know Clive Row, you know how crowded it gets. Our place is at 6B, and it’s one of those old buildings where the walls have seen a lot of history. We’ve been operating as B. R. Trading Company from here for quite a while now. It’s mostly about moving goods and keeping track of the paperwork. The stairs are narrow and sometimes the electricity acts up, but we get the work done. It’s a trading business, so our phones are always ringing with someone asking about prices or where their delivery is. We don’t have any big flashy signs. Just a small board and a lot of ledgers. My desk is usually covered in receipts and half-empty chai cups. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find air conditioning in every corner, but it’s home for us during the day. Most of our neighbors have been here for decades too. We know the tea stall guy and the couriers by name. Dealing with the traffic on this street is the hardest part of the job. Sometimes a truck gets stuck and everything stops for an hour. But that is just how life is in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and manage the orders as they come. It is a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us and the people we deal with.
