B R Singh Hospital

This B R Singh Hospital over in Lake Town is a bit different from the one in Sealdah. Being at 470/2 Block-B gives it a more neighborhood feel. The streets are a bit narrower and it's mostly houses and small shops around us. We have a lot of locals who just walk over when they need something. It’s a pretty straightforward building. We don’t have a big grand entrance, just a regular door that everyone uses. The staff knows most of the regular patients by name. We see them at the local market sometimes too. Inside, it’s mostly just the essentials. We have some plants in the corner that someone forgot to water last week, but we’re trying to keep them alive. The waiting area is usually full of people talking about what’s happening in Lake Town. It’s not one of those silent, cold hospitals. It feels a bit more like a community center sometimes. We have our routines, like how the morning shift always checks the medicine stock twice. The paint is peeling a tiny bit near the ceiling in the back, but the equipment works and the rooms are tidy enough. We don't put on a show or anything. It's just a place where people come when they aren't feeling well, and we do what we can to help them out. It’s a decent place to work, even if the parking is a bit of a nightmare.
