B. K. Mukherjee & Associates is tucked away at 27, Chatawala Gali in Bowbazar. If you have ever walked through Bowbazar, you know it is a place with a lot of character and very narrow lanes. Chatawala Gali is one of those spots where you really feel the history of the city. Our office has been here for a long time. It is not a modern building with elevators and glass walls. It is an older place and we like it that way. We do a lot of work as associates, mostly dealing with files and clients who have been coming to us for years. The walls are lined with folders and the ceiling fans have been spinning for decades. It gets quite loud outside with all the street noise and people shouting, but we do not mind. It is just the sound of the neighborhood. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks. People usually hear about us from someone else. We keep things simple. A few desks, some chairs for visitors, and plenty of pens. It is a practical way to run a firm. We are not trying to impress anyone with a posh office. We just focus on the task at hand. Bowbazar is a busy place, but once you step into our office, it is just about the work. We have seen the streets change, but our little corner remains pretty much the same.
