Arts Saloon

Shyam Ngar Road is always a busy place to be, and our shop, Arts Saloon, sits right in the middle of it all near Bangur Avinue. The street outside is usually full of noise, but once you step inside, it feels a bit more relaxed. We have a few mirrors lined up against the wall and some heavy chairs that have been bolted down for a long time. The floor is a bit uneven, but nobody seems to mind as long as they get their hair cut properly. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or bright neon signs because that isn’t what people around here are looking for. They just want a place where they can sit down for twenty minutes and get a decent trim. We keep our tools on a small wooden table that is cluttered with spray bottles and jars of hair cream. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to rely on the light coming in from the open door until the generator kicks in or the lights come back on. Being in the Shyam Ngar Road area means we get a lot of local residents who just want a simple service without any fuss. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the work at hand and watch the traffic go by on Shyam Ngar Road. We just keep the scissors moving and wait for the next person to walk through the door.
