Archana Creations

Archana Creations is located at 84 Bangur Avenue. It is a simple shop where we do a lot of sewing and fabric work. If you come inside, you will see rolls of cloth, threads of every color, and a few sewing machines that are usually running. Archana started this place and we have a few people who help with the stitching and the cutting. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with fabric scraps on the floor, but that’s how it goes when you’re busy. Bangur Avenue is a decent neighborhood and we have many regulars who live nearby. They bring us their clothes for alterations or come to get something new made from scratch. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy storefront. Most people find us because they live in the area or someone told them about us. It takes a lot of time to get the measurements right and to make sure the stitching is strong. We work on all sorts of outfits, some simple and some a bit more complicated with patterns. During the wedding season or festivals, it gets really hectic and we have to stay late to finish everything. We don’t really have a big corporate structure here. It’s just a local shop where we work with cloth all day long. It is a lot of manual labor, but we are used to the pace of it.
