Antra Gents Parlour

Antra Gents Parlour is on the ground floor over in Krishnapur, specifically in Purbo Para. We are situated near Bartalla and the Tax Office, so we get a lot of people who work in those offices or are just passing through to get their paperwork done. The shop is easy to walk into since it’s right on the ground level. It’s not a very big place, just enough for a few chairs and a small counter for our things. We have some old posters of different styles on the wall, even though most people just ask for the same thing every time. The floor is a bit uneven in one corner, so we have to be careful where we put the stools. It gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is finishing work and wants to tidy up a bit before going home. We have a small television in the corner that’s usually tuned to a news channel or a movie, mostly for background noise while we work. The staff here are just regular guys who have lived in Kolkata for a long time. We don’t use any fancy language or try to act like a big salon. It’s just a parlour for men in the Purbo Para area. We keep our tools sharp and our towels clean, and that’s about it. It’s a practical shop for the local community near the Tax Office.
