We've been here at 230 Barakhola Lane for a while now. The area around Purba Jadavpur is usually pretty jammed with traffic, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get somewhere. Our building stands right there in Mukundapur, and it’s always got something going on. Inside, it's mostly the sound of the elevators and people talking in the corridors. The staff here, we just get on with things. It’s not fancy or anything, just a place where people come when they aren't feeling well. We see a lot of families coming through the doors every day. Sometimes it gets a bit loud near the reception, but that's just how it is. The nurses are usually running around with charts, and the doctors are in and out of rooms. We try to keep things organized, though papers sometimes pile up on the desks. It’s a busy spot in a busy part of town. Most days are long, and we drink a lot of tea to keep going. It’s a job like any other, but you see a lot of life here. The street outside always has vendors and cars honking, which you can hear even from the upper floors sometimes. It’s just part of being in this corner of the city. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the hospital stays pretty much the same, just keeping the lights on.
