Amcc Hospital

Sabaran is where we’ve set up Amcc Hospital. It’s a place that doesn't get much attention from the big city people, but it’s home to us. The hospital itself is a simple building. We don't have those glass elevators or fancy cafes you see in the big cities. We have wards, a few consultation rooms, and a staff that knows the local language and the local people. It can be quiet some days, and other days everyone seems to need something at once. That's just the nature of healthcare in a place like Sabaran. We focus on the basic needs of the community. If someone comes in with a fever or an injury, we do what we can with what we have. Our records are mostly kept in folders on the shelves. We don't spend money on fancy websites or glossy brochures. We'd rather spend it on keeping the lights on and the medicine cabinets full. It’s a very grounded way to work. You get to know the families around here quite well. Sometimes they bring us vegetables or just stop to chat. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just a group of people working together to keep a hospital running in a small town. We do the best we can every single day, even when things are difficult or resources are a bit tight. There is always a lot to do, but we just take it one patient at a time until we finish for the evening.
