We set up our office at 43 Biplabi Anukul Chandra Street. It’s a good location in Kolkata, easy enough for people to find once they’re in the neighborhood. We work on property stuff, helping folks figure out their real estate needs. It’s not always easy work, but we’ve been at it for a while. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the job done. We spend a lot of time talking to local residents and looking at different properties around the city. Every day is a little different. Some days we are stuck behind the desk dealing with government forms, and other days we’re out walking through buildings. We don’t use big words or try to confuse anyone. We just explain what’s happening with a property and what the next steps are. People seem to appreciate that honesty. We’ve grown to know this part of Kolkata really well over the years. It’s a community-focused kind of business. We aren’t interested in those big corporate ways of doing things. We’d rather just have a normal conversation and get the deal done right for everyone. There’s a lot of history in these streets, and we like being a small part of how the city keeps moving forward. We just keep our heads down and do the work we’re supposed to do. It’s a simple life, and we like it that way. No need to make things more complicated than they already are.
