We are over at 25/A on Meher Ali Mondal Street. It’s an old street, narrow in some parts, but we’ve made a home here for Ajma Exports. The building is older, with thick walls that stay somewhat cool in the summer. We have a lot of stuff moving in and out every week. You’ll usually see some boxes stacked near the entrance waiting for the truck. It’s a busy little corner. The neighbors know us well by now. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really need to look at the map anymore. Inside, it’s mostly workspace. We have a few tables where we check everything before it goes out. There’s a ceiling fan that ticks as it spins, which you get used to after an hour. We don’t spend much on decor. It’s more about having space to move. The street outside gets crowded during the market hours, so we try to get our big deliveries done early in the morning. It’s a lot of manual work, checking labels and packing things tight. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. Someone usually goes out to the corner shop to bring back snacks for the afternoon break. It’s just a regular business day for us. We do the work, talk to the drivers, and keep things moving. It’s a simple setup at Ajma Exports, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and stay busy.
