Sr.Engineer

I work as a Senior Engineer out in the Konkan region. My base is in Walaval-Humarmala, which is in the Kudal Taluka of the Sindhudurg District. The pin code here is 416524. It’s a beautiful part of Maharashtra with lots of greenery and rain. The office is really just a small setup at the post. Being an engineer in a rural area like this is different from the city. I spend a lot of time traveling between different sites. The roads can be rough, especially during the monsoon. I’ve been here for quite some time now. The people in the village are friendly and usually stop to chat. My desk is always a mess with maps and technical manuals. I don't have a fancy title or a glass office. It's just a place where the engineering work gets handled. The air is fresh here, which is a nice change. I use simple tools and try to solve problems as they come up. It’s not always easy getting supplies out here. You have to plan ahead. I like the pace of life in Kudal. It’s slower than Mumbai but the work is just as important. I’m content with my spot here in Sindhudurg. It’s where I belong. The weather here can be unpredictable but that is just part of the daily routine for us engineers in the country.
