We operate out of Plot Number 4/1 in the MIDC area of Shiroli. It’s in the Hatkanangale Taluka. If you know the Unique Ford showroom, we are pretty much right near there. Being in the MIDC means it’s all industrial around us. There’s always the sound of machinery and trucks going by. Gnat Foundry is a place where we do metal casting and foundry work. It’s hot and it’s loud, but that’s the nature of the job. We have been doing this for quite a while now. We aren't one of those massive foundries, but we handle our fair share of orders. The floor is usually covered in sand and metal scraps, but that’s how a working foundry looks. Our workers have been with us for years. We focus on getting the molds right and making sure the pours go well. It’s a lot of physical labor. We don't have a fancy front office; it's mostly just a small room where we keep the books and files. Most of our clients are other industrial companies in the area. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches. People know the work we do. It’s tough work, especially in the summer months when the furnace makes everything twice as hot. But we’ve built a decent reputation in Shiroli just by showing up and doing the work. It's a simple, grit-filled business. We like being part of the local manufacturing scene here and seeing what we make being used elsewhere.
