Shrinivas Traders

The office is at Plot No-B29 in the Royal Plaza building. If you know Kolhapur, you know how busy Dabholkar Corner gets throughout the day. Shrinivas Traders has been operating out of this space for some time now. It’s mostly desks, stacks of ledgers, and the sound of the phone ringing. We handle a lot of different goods, so there’s always someone coming in or out with a clipboard. The plaza itself is a bit loud, with all the traffic and other businesses nearby. Sometimes it feels like we’re always playing catch-up with the deliveries. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we manage the orders and talk to the suppliers. Usually, the mornings start with a cup of tea while we look over the list of what needs to go out. The afternoons are mostly spent on the phone or dealing with the transport guys. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We know the other shop owners in Royal Plaza pretty well, and we all deal with the same parking issues and the afternoon heat. Being at Dabholkar Corner means we’re easy to find, which helps when new drivers are trying to drop things off. We just try to get the numbers right and keep the boxes moving to where they need to go next. It’s a lot of physical work and paperwork mixed together.
