Rasne Rolling Mill

You can find Rasne Rolling Mill over on Shahaji Road, specifically at House No. 2553 in Ghas Galli. If you know the area, you know how tight those streets can get. It is an old part of town and the mill has been part of the noise here for quite some time. The machines are old but they run well if you know how to talk to them. It gets really loud when everything is spinning at once, so we do a lot of shouting just to hear ourselves. Ghas Galli has a certain smell to it, a mix of metal and old buildings, and we’re used to it by now. We don't really do much advertising because most people around here already know where we are. They just walk in or call us on the landline. The space is a bit cramped with all the metal stacked up, but we have a system that works for us. It’s not the kind of place you’d bring a guest to impress them, but it’s where the work gets done. Sometimes the rain leaks through the roof a little and we have to move things around, but that's just life in an old building. We start early when the air is still cool and try to get the heavy lifting done before the afternoon heat hits the street. It’s hard work, and our hands are always dirty, but it's what keeps the lights on.
