Pratik Steel Centre

We have been operating out of Plot No. 1490 / 1 - B for a good while now. Being on Khonda Line in Laxmipuri means we see a lot of the daily bustle. It is right opposite the Kotak Mahindra bank, so the traffic is always a bit heavy in the mornings when people are heading to work. Pratik Steel Centre is basically just a big room filled with metal. We handle all sorts of steel pieces and sometimes the noise of moving things around gets pretty loud. The neighbors probably don't love the clanking sounds, but it's part of the trade. We aren't big on fancy decorations or office furniture. There are a few old chairs and a desk where we keep the papers, but mostly we are on our feet. The shop gets a bit dusty with all the metal work going on. We just try to get the orders sorted and moved out as they come in. It’s a simple way of working. Most days start with a cup of tea while we wait for the first truck to arrive. We’ve been in Laxmipuri long enough to know most of the other shop owners around here. It feels like a real community even with all the noise and the heavy lifting. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just stay here and do the work that needs doing. It is what it is.
