Hotel Kagal Nakshtra

We’ve been here in Ujalaiwadi for a while now, right near the Shivaji University area in Kolhapur. Most people find us because they are visiting the university or just passing through this part of town. It’s a busy spot but we try to keep things quiet enough for anyone staying the night. We started this place because there was a need for a simple stay nearby. The building isn't fancy or anything, just a regular hotel where you can get a room and rest. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud during the day, but that’s just how it is living near the main road. Our staff is mostly local guys who know the area well. If you need to find a specific department at the university or a good place for snacks nearby, they can usually point you in the right direction. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are ready for whoever shows up next. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a few of us making sure things run okay from day to day. We’ve seen a lot of students and parents come through over the years. It’s interesting to see people from different places stopping here. We don't have a lot of rules, just the basic stuff to keep everyone comfortable. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a normal part of the neighborhood, that is what we are. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
