Hotel Bawarchi

Hotel Bawarchi is in the Phadke Building on Amrai Road. We are right across from the Collector’s Bungalow in Sangli, which is how most people find us in the 416416 area. Our hotel is a modest setup, nothing too grand or complicated. We have some rooms for travelers and people who have business in town. We do not have a big fancy entrance, just a regular door in the Phadke Building. Inside, we have a small desk where we manage the guest register and keep the keys. We spend a good part of our day cleaning and making sure the linens are fresh for the next person who stays. It is a very hands-on job for us. We do not have any glossy brochures or fancy websites. Most people just know us because we have been here on Amrai Road for a while. The building has its old parts, but we try to keep everything in working order. Sometimes the plumbing needs a bit of a fix or a room needs a new coat of paint on the walls. We just do that ourselves when we have some free time. Being opposite the Collector’s Bungalow makes the street feel a bit more official. We are not trying to be anything more than a simple, local hotel. We just want to make sure people have a bed to sleep in and a roof over their heads while they are visiting Sangli.
