Hotel Gamak

Our hotel is located out in Gokul Shirgaon, on the edge of Kolhapur. Hotel Gamak is a basic place, far from the city center noise. Most folks who stay here are working in the industrial zone nearby. There aren't any fancy decorations or a grand entrance to speak of. It’s just a functional building with rooms for travelers. A small crew of us keeps the place going day to day. We handle everything from the front desk to the laundry ourselves. The rooms are very simple. You get the essentials like a bed and a light. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so it’s a practical setup for those who don't mind. There isn't a restaurant on-site, but several small dhabas are located nearby for a quick meal. This area is much quieter than the city, though you can still hear trucks passing on the main road. Flashy brochures and corporate offices aren't our thing. It’s just us. Most of our time is spent making sure the rooms are ready for the next person who checks in. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a small generator to keep the lights on. It’s definitely not a luxury stay. It’s just a place to sleep if you’re in this part of Kolhapur for work. We keep things straightforward and don't make any big claims about what we offer. It’s a simple life out here for us.
