Our office is located at 409, Sahajanand Palace, which is right across from Rahul Tower on the 100 Ft. Anand Nagar Road in the Satellite area. It’s a bit different from a factory floor since we are up in a building, but the work we do is still very much about engineering. The view from the window shows the busy traffic of Satellite, which never seems to slow down. Inside, the space is filled with desks, computers, and a lot of technical drawings spread out everywhere. We focus on heat transfer problems and designing systems that work in industrial settings. It’s a lot of calculations and checking data to make sure everything will hold up once it’s actually built. We don’t have a big corporate feel here; it’s more like a small group of people who are really into the details of how things heat up and cool down. The air conditioning is usually humming away to keep the computers from overheating, and there’s always a pot of coffee going in the small kitchen area. Sometimes clients drop by to discuss a project, and we just pull up a chair and look at the blueprints together. We don’t use a lot of jargon when we talk to people because we prefer to keep things clear and simple. It’s a steady kind of life here at Heatran Engineers, focusing on the math and the designs that keep other businesses running smoothly.
