We set up our unit right behind Rajesh Motors on the Pune Bangalore Highway in Vathar. Being so close to the highway is actually quite helpful because the trucks can pull in and out without much trouble, though the noise of the traffic never really stops. We do flexipack manufacturing, so we’re always surrounded by big rolls of plastic and printing machines. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We have to keep a close eye on the machines to make sure the thickness of the film is right and the printing is clear. Our team is mostly people from the nearby villages who have learned the trade over the years. We start pretty early in the morning when it’s still cool outside. There’s no big corporate structure here; it’s more like a group of people working together to get the orders finished. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because if one machine breaks, it throws off the whole week. We drink a lot of tea while we’re checking the output or waiting for a supplier to arrive. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People usually find us through word of mouth or by seeing our building from the road. We just try to do a solid job every day and make sure the packaging we produce is good enough for our customers.
