Anshika Agro Processing Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are working out of Walandi, specifically at H.No. 1269/1243. It’s a small operation where a few of us farmers decided to handle our own processing. Usually, you sell to someone else and they take the profit, so we thought why not do it ourselves right here in Devani. It gets pretty busy around harvest time. The shed gets full of grain and everyone is trying to figure out the machines. We aren't experts at business, we just know how to grow things and now we are learning the processing side. Some days the power goes out and we just sit around and talk until it comes back on. It is a bit of a learning curve for everyone involved. We’ve got some locals helping out, mainly family and neighbors from around the post office area. It’s nothing fancy, just a plain building where we get the work done. People drop by to see how things are going or to ask if we can take their crop next. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. It’s better than just waiting for a middleman to show up at the farm gate. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. Most of us have lived in Walandi all our lives, so we know who is who. It feels good to see the sacks piled up with our company name on them. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy and pays for things around the house.
