Siksha Nikethana

Siksha Nikethana is located in Mavelipuram, over in the Kakkanad area. We’ve been here for some time now, and the place has become quite familiar to the local folks. It’s not a massive institution with a huge gate, just a regular place where education happens. We have students coming in from around the neighborhood. The atmosphere is usually quite calm, except for the times when classes are changing. We don't have any corporate polish here. The walls might need a bit of paint, and the furniture is well-used, but it serves its purpose. We focus on the basics. Our staff is mostly people from the nearby areas who have been with us for a while. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in the city; we just want to do a decent job for the families in Kakkanad. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We open the doors early, get things ready, and then the day starts. There’s a lot of talking and learning going on in the rooms. We handle all the administration ourselves without any fancy software or systems. It’s just us doing the best we can with what we have. If you’re walking around Mavelipuram, you’ll probably see our sign. It’s a humble spot, and we like it that way. We’re just part of the local community here.
