You have to look for Mosque Lane to find us. It’s tucked away off SRM Road, which branches out from Banerji Road. It’s a bit quieter back here compared to the main drag, which we appreciate. The university office is in a spot that feels more like a neighborhood than a business district. We have people coming in and out all day, mostly looking for specific departments or turning in paperwork. The building is a simple structure. We’ve got some plants near the entrance that we try to keep alive, though the heat makes it a challenge. Inside, the hallways are narrow and filled with the sound of people talking. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist in a suit. Usually, it’s just one of us sitting at a wooden desk near the front. We do our best to keep things moving. There’s a certain way the air smells here, like old paper and the tea from the place around the corner. We spend our time checking through rolls and making sure the classrooms are ready. It’s not a high-tech campus with glass walls. It’s a practical place where people come to learn and we come to work. Being on Mosque Lane gives us a bit of a break from the heavy traffic of SRM Road, even if it's just a few meters away. It feels real and grounded, and the neighbors are all pretty friendly to us most of the time.
