St. Johannes International School

We are over here at Nilampathinja Mughal, right on the Rajagiri Valley Road in Kakkanad. It gets quite busy around here during the mornings when everyone is dropping their kids off. The school has been part of this Ernakulam neighborhood for a while now. We don't have a giant team of writers to do this, so I'm just writing it myself. Mostly, the days are full of kids running around the halls and teachers trying to keep things quiet enough for lessons. It’s pretty humid most of the year, but we manage. You can find us easily if you know the way to the valley. The building itself is just a regular school building, nothing too flashy. We have some trees around that give a bit of shade in the afternoons. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets loud, but inside the gates, it feels different. We just try to get through the syllabus and make sure the kids are doing their homework. There’s always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a broken desk. It’s a lot of work running a place like this in Kakkanad, but we are here every morning anyway. I’m usually the one opening the gates early. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. If you walk past, you’ll hear the classes going on. It’s just a normal school doing its thing in this part of Ernakulam.
