Darululoom Higher Secondary School

You can find our school at the corner where Veekshanam Road meets Pulleppady Cross Road in Ernakulam. It’s a very central location, so it’s always surrounded by the noise of the city. We have been here for many years, and the building definitely shows its age in some places. It is a higher secondary school, so we have many students coming in for their final years of schooling. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches that have been around for a long time. We have a small staff room where the teachers gather to grade papers and have their tea. It’s a busy environment. Between the classes, the corridors are full of students rushing around. We don't have a massive campus with huge green fields, but we make use of every corner we have. The location is convenient for students coming by bus or train since it’s in the heart of the city. We follow the standard curriculum and focus on getting the work done. There isn't much room for fancy extras, so we just stick to the basics of teaching and learning. People in the Pulleppady area know us well. We’ve seen many generations pass through these doors. Some of the current teachers were even students here once. It’s a place with a lot of local history. We just keep the routine going, year after year, dealing with the usual school stuff like exams, uniforms, and the daily bell. It’s just a normal, busy school in Ernakulam.
