Ceylon Refreshment

Our little place is right at Padma Junction on MG Road. We’re directly opposite the City Hospital, which makes it easy for folks to find us when they’re out and about. It’s a small refreshment stall, really. We serve things that people can grab quickly while they’re on their way to work or visiting someone at the hospital across the street. MG Road is always packed with traffic and people walking on the pavement, so we stay pretty busy from early morning. We don’t have much in the way of fancy seating, just a few spots to stand or sit for a minute while you eat. The menu is simple and we stick to what we know how to make fast without any delays. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Usually, it’s just a couple of us behind the counter handling the orders and making the tea. Sometimes we run out of things if the morning rush is too much for our small kitchen. That’s just how it goes in this business. We see a lot of the same people every day, mostly hospital staff or shopkeepers from the nearby buildings. It’s a plain, honest business. We clean up at night and start all over again the next day at sunrise. No big ads or anything, just a sign out front that says who we are. It’s a humble spot for a quick bite or something cold to drink.
