Cafe Route 66

We’re located in Pulimoottil Arcade, right on NH 47 in Edapally. It’s easy to spot because we’re directly opposite Oberon Mall. Being on the highway means we get a lot of travelers passing through Ernakulam, along with the local crowd from the mall area. We named the place Route 66 because we liked the idea of a roadside stop. It’s not meant to be fancy. We have some booths and some posters on the walls to make it feel a bit different. The traffic outside is always crawling, so people often duck in here to wait for the rush hour to end. We serve burgers, shakes, and that kind of stuff. It’s the kind of food we like to eat ourselves. The kitchen can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we manage. We’ve got a few guys working the floor who have been here since we opened. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just see us from the road or hear about us from friends. It’s a practical place. You come in, you eat, you head back out to your car. We try to keep the music decent and the place clean. That’s really all there is to it. No big corporate story, just a burger joint on the highway. We just stay open late and keep the lights on.
