Cafe D Arabia

We are located in the Juma Masjid Building, right on the NH 17 in Edapally. Being so close to the Lulu Shopping Mall means there is never a quiet moment around here. The traffic on the highway is constant, and you can hear the buses and cars all day long. The building itself is an older one, and we have to do a lot of maintenance to keep things looking okay. It’s humid here in Ernakulam, so the walls sometimes get those damp spots that we have to scrub off before anyone sees them. We aren't some big chain with a manual for every little thing. We just figure things out as we go. If the fridge starts acting up or making a loud noise, one of us goes out back to poke at it and see if it stops. Most of our customers are just people trying to escape the sun for a bit or folks waiting for their friends at the mall. We spend a lot of time just refilling the water dispenser and clearing away empty plates from the tables. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with people who are always in a hurry to get somewhere else. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves because we are just a local cafe by the masjid. It is hard work, but we keep the doors open.
