Cafe Dubai

If you are walking down Kaloor-Kadavathara Road in Ernakulam, you will eventually find Cafe Dubai. We are situated right across from the Axis Bank in Kaloor. It’s a busy street, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We named it Cafe Dubai because the name sounded good at the time, and it just stuck with people. Inside, it’s just a regular cafe where we serve tea, coffee, and basic snacks. I spend most of my time behind the counter or checking on things in the back. It is a lot of work to keep a small business going in this part of town, but we manage. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us how to talk to customers. We just talk to them like normal people. If the food is good, they usually come back. That is pretty much our whole strategy. The space isn't huge, so it can get a little crowded during the peak hours, especially when the bank across the street gets busy and people come over here for a break. We try to keep things clean and keep the kitchen moving. It is just a local spot for people in Ernakulam who need a place to sit for twenty minutes. Nothing more and nothing less. We don’t make big promises, we just provide a seat and a meal. It's a quiet life running a cafe here and we like it that way.
