Cafe Cafeteria

We are located in Meenakshi Estate on Rajaji Road, right across from the Centre Square Mall in the Ernakulam College area. Cafe Cafeteria is basically a small operation run by a few of us here in Ernakulam. The 682035 area is usually buzzing with students and people shopping at the mall, so there is never a quiet moment outside. Inside, we just try to keep things moving. We spend our mornings prepping the ingredients and making sure the coffee machine is cleaned out. It is a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with whatever comes through the door. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about how we stack things in the back. Sometimes the rain in Ernakulam makes things a bit messy, so we are always mopping the entrance to keep the mud out. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up, make the food, and handle the cash register. Most of our days are spent checking the stock levels and talking to the delivery guys who bring our supplies. It is a basic setup with some wooden tables and a few lights that we probably should have changed weeks ago. We just do the work that needs doing and hope the equipment doesn't break down during the lunch rush. It is a lot of routine, but it keeps us busy. We mostly just keep an eye on the clock and the stock.
