Ravi Kumar Travels

I run this travel service out of my home at H. No. 5-67 in Chandru Thanda Village. It’s part of the Patharlapadu post area in Thirumalayapalem. Getting around this part of the district can be hard if you don’t have your own car, so that’s why I started doing this. I have a couple of vehicles that I keep as clean as I can. The car seats are a bit worn but they are soft enough for a long drive. Mostly, people call me when they need to go to a wedding in the next town or if they have a doctor's appointment and can’t wait for the bus. I drive a lot of the trips myself. I know these roads pretty well, even the ones that get muddy when it rains. It’s not a big company with a fleet of hundreds. It’s just me, Ravi, and my cars. I keep a logbook on my kitchen table to track the bookings for the week. Sometimes the phone rings late at night for an emergency trip, and I try to help out if I can. It’s a small village, so word of mouth is how I get most of my passengers. I don't use fancy maps or GPS all the time because I've lived here forever.
