Shivam Travels

We are located on Hostal Road in Siripuram Village, which is part of the Madhira Mandal area. Our house number is 3-23. Running a travel business in a village like this means you are always on call. People need to get to the city or to a wedding, and they rely on us to get them there. I spend most of my time managing the schedule and making sure the vehicles are clean and have enough fuel. The roads can be rough, especially after the rains, so we have to be careful with the cars. It’s a lot of driving back and forth, seeing the same trees and landmarks every day. I keep a diary of all the bookings, though sometimes people just show up at the door asking for a ride. We aren't a big company with a fleet of buses; it’s more personal than that. You get to hear a lot of stories from the passengers while they are sitting in the back. The mornings start very early, often before the sun is even up, because people want to beat the heat or the traffic. It’s a long day, and sometimes the return trips are late at night. We just try to be reliable and show up when we say we will. Siripuram is a quiet place most of the time, so the sound of our car leaving is often the first thing the neighbors hear in the morning.
