Banuchandra Granites

Banuchandra Granites is over at Door No:5-5-2/B on Bomakal Road. We are part of the local district here and have been for a while. Our main thing is granite. We have stacks of it all over the property. Granite is tough stuff, but it’s beautiful once it’s cleaned up. Our day-to-day is mostly about managing the inventory and helping people who drive down Bomakal Road looking for building materials. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have a big staff, so everyone chips in with the heavy lifting and the cleaning. The weather here can be quite dry, which makes the dust fly around every time a truck pulls in. We try to keep things organized, but in a stone yard, that’s always a challenge. People come in with measurements for their kitchens or floors, and we help them find slabs that fit their needs. We don't use any fancy computer programs to show people how it will look. We just lay the pieces out on the ground so they can see the real thing in the natural light. It’s a very practical business. We don't spend money on big ads. We just rely on being here and doing the work. It’s a quiet life in some ways, even with all the noise of the stone being moved. We just take it one day at a time and focus on the slabs in front of us.
