Tulsiatex

Our office is at 13/28 in Periyar Nagar. It’s a simple building on a street that doesn't get too much heavy traffic, which is nice for a change. Tulsiatex is not a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We are a smaller team, and we like it that way because we actually know what’s going on with every single project. The office is mostly filled with samples of fabric and large tables for checking quality. We don’t have a fancy interior designer’s touch here. The chairs are mismatched, and the calendars on the wall are sometimes a month behind. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is on the product, not the decor. We spend a lot of time on the phone with weavers and transport guys. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s just the reality of working in this part of town. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just get the textile work done and make sure the shipments go out on time. There’s always a stack of newspapers in the corner and someone usually brings snacks to share in the afternoon. It’s a very grounded way of doing business, and it’s served us well for a long time. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized.
