Sri Rathinagiri Spinners (P) Ltd. is located at 11/1 in Periyar Nagar West. Spinning yarn is a constant process here, and the machines don't really like to stop once they get going. It’s a bit of a routine, checking the spindles and making sure the tension is right so the thread doesn't snap. The floors get a bit dusty with the lint, but that’s just part of the deal when you work in a place like this. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows their role well enough that we don't need to talk much over the noise of the motors. Periyar Nagar is a decent place to be, and being in the west side makes it easy for the trucks to come and go without getting stuck in too much traffic. We don't do much in the way of decoration. The walls are plain and the lighting is just what we need to see the work. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a particular batch, but mostly we stick to the schedule. It's physical work, and your hands get a bit rough from handling the fibers all day. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything leaving the gate is what it’s supposed to be. It’s not fancy, just a regular spinning unit doing what it’s done for years. We just keep the wheels turning day after day, regardless of the weather outside.
