Sri Rajeswari Textiles

You can find us at No. 9-D/14 over in Ramakrishnapuram North. It’s a busy enough area, and we’ve been part of the street for a while. Dealing with textiles is what we do at Sri Rajeswari Textiles, and our days are usually spent surrounded by rolls of fabric and various threads. It’s not a quiet job, honestly. There is always the sound of something moving or someone checking the weave on a piece of cloth. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits on the shelves for too long. The space isn't huge, so we have to be smart about how we stack things up. Sometimes the colors get a bit overwhelming when you see them all day, but you get used to it. Local folks know where we are, and we mostly just deal with the regulars who’ve been coming by for years. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big reception area or anything. Just a lot of work tables and the smell of fresh cotton or whatever material we happen to be handling that week. Getting the right weight and feel for the fabric takes a bit of an eye, and we’ve picked that up just by doing it day in and day out. It’s just us here, doing the regular work that needs to be done. We open up early and stay until the inventory is sorted out properly and the shop is ready for the next morning.
