Mrm Tex

Our little business, Mrm Tex, is located at number 7 in West Gowripuram. It’s a small street where everyone seems to know what everyone else is doing. We’ve been here for a long time, working with textiles and fabrics. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a simple door and a small sign. Inside, it’s a different story. We have piles of cloth everywhere you look. It’s mostly cottons and local weaves that we source and sell. The work is very hands-on. We spend our hours unrolling fabric, checking for flaws, and cutting pieces for customers. There is always a fine layer of lint on everything, but that’s just the nature of the textile business. West Gowripuram is a place where you can hear the sounds of life all around—neighbors talking, children playing, and the occasional bike passing by. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just rely on the cloth being good and the fact that we’ve been here long enough for people to know us. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the daily routine of the shop. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to come through the door. It’s simple and honest. We just like doing the job well and keeping the business going through the different seasons without making a big fuss about it.
