Kongu Higher Secondary School

Kongu Higher Secondary School is located in Vennamalai, which is just on the outskirts of Karur. It is a bit quieter out here than it is in the middle of the town, which is nice for a school. We have a good amount of land, so the buildings are not all piled on top of each other. There are some big trees around the edge of the property that give us some much-needed shade when the sun is out. The classrooms are very standard, with wooden desks and benches that have been around for quite a while. We don't have anything like smart boards or fancy gadgets. The teachers use the blackboards and just talk to the students. We have a lot of higher secondary students who are very focused on their exams, so the atmosphere can be quite serious sometimes. We have a small canteen that sells tea and some simple snacks like biscuits or samosas during the break. The library is just a small room with shelves of old books, but the students use it to study quietly. We don't have a bus of our own, so most kids come by public transport or their parents drop them off. It is a very plain and straightforward school. We just try to keep things running on time and make sure the students are learning what they need to. It’s a decent place with a lot of regular people working hard. We have been part of Vennamalai for a long time.
