About Aayisha (Rali) Niswan School – Education in Karur
Our school is located in Singarathoppu, which is part of the Kulithalai area in Karur. It’s a pretty busy neighborhood, so there’s always something going on outside our gates. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too modern, just solid walls and big windows to let the breeze in. We spend a lot of time keeping the place tidy, but with so many students running around, there’s always a bit of dust or a stray notebook left on a bench. The classrooms have simple desks and chairs that we’ve had for years. Some of them have names scratched into the wood from students who left a long time ago. We start our day pretty early before the sun gets too hot. Parents usually drop their children off on their way to work, so the street gets crowded with cycles and scooters for a few minutes every morning. We have a small courtyard where everyone gathers. It’s not a huge campus, but it’s enough for what we need. The teachers live nearby, so they know the families well. We don’t have a big cafeteria, just a place where kids can sit and eat the lunches they brought from home. It’s a plain, hardworking school that has become a familiar part of the local scenery here. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the doors wider. It's just how things are in this part of Karur.
