You can find our building at 149/a on M.G. Road, right in the heart of the Bharathi Nagar area. It is a very busy street, so there is always some kind of noise or activity going on right outside our front door. Inside, it is mostly just piles and piles of home collections like bed sheets and towels. We spend the whole morning checking the inventory and making sure everything is folded the right way. The wooden shelves are packed quite high, and sometimes we have to use a tall ladder just to reach the stuff at the very top. It is a very practical workspace, not one of those showrooms with fancy lights and mirrors. We have got some heavy benches for sorting the linens and a small corner where we do all the packing into boxes. The guys who work here have their daily routine down pretty well. One person checks the quality, another person does the folding, and someone else deals with the plastic bags. M.G. Road gets pretty loud with all the traffic and horns, but we just get on with our work inside. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles or fancy computers. We just focus on getting the orders ready for whoever is coming by to pick them up later. Sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time finding a spot to park near the entrance, so we carry bundles down the street ourselves. It's just simple work.
