Shree Radha Krishna Rice Mill

Living and working in Village- Dehla Bhutal Khurd means things move at a certain pace. At Shree Radha Krishna Rice Mill, we don't worry too much about the rush of the city. Most of our days are spent checking the moisture in the piles or making sure the bags are stacked properly so they don't lean too much. The machinery makes a loud humming noise that you stop hearing after about an hour of being here. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the entrance, mostly sleeping in the shade when it’s hot. The road into the village can get muddy when it rains, which makes getting the grain in a bit of a chore, but we manage. We’ve got a small area where we sit and eat our lunch, usually brought from home in tiffins. It's quiet work for the most part, except for when the harvesters are active. Then, it's all hands on deck until late at night. We don't use any fancy computer systems for the daily stuff, just a big ledger where we write things down by hand. It works for us. The air in Dehla Bhutal Khurd always smells a bit like dry earth and straw. It's just a simple mill run by people who have lived in this area their whole lives. We just keep our heads down and do the job that needs doing every day.
