Mahak Besan Mill

At Mahak Besan Mill, we spend our time grinding gram flour. We are located on Ambala Road in Darar, which is in the Karnal district. Our mill is right near the Shiv Mandir. You can usually hear the machines humming if you are walking by. The air always has a bit of that yellow flour dust in it. It’s a family business. We don't have a big corporate structure. We just focus on the mill. The road outside, Ambala Road, stays quite busy with traffic heading toward the city. We’ve been in Darar for a long time. People from the nearby villages know us. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth works well enough around here. It’s a dusty job and the machines need a lot of oiling and care. We work long hours, especially during the festival seasons when everyone needs besan for sweets and snacks. The Shiv Mandir is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make good flour and keep the mill running. It’s simple, honest work. We are just local people in Karnal doing what we know how to do. The mill is our life. We get up, we start the machines, and we work until the job is done for the day. That is the way it has always been for us here.
