Khanawali Kishan Utpadak Sagathan Producer Company Limited is based with Kawal Singh. It is a bit of a long name for us to write out every time we have to sign something. We are over at Bishamber Singh’s place too, it’s all family and neighbors really. Kanehwalrai Singh is part of the whole setup as well. We are just farmers from the local area who wanted to form a group. It is better when we work together instead of everyone doing their own thing. We don't have a fancy glass office like you see in the city. We mostly meet at the house or out by the sheds in the back. It’s very informal. You might find us sitting on the porch talking about seed prices or the weather. That is our "boardroom" most days. We are just regular people from the village. There is no big secret to what we do here. We just grow what we can and try to sell it for a fair price. The address is just where we live and keep our records. It’s a bit out of the way, but that’s where the land is. Sometimes we get mail for the company and it’s a bit strange to see the big official name on the envelope. To us, it’s just the group. We don't use big words or have meetings that last all day for no reason. We just get the work done and go home to our families.
