Jamalpur Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Village Jamalpur, which is near Mustafabad. You can find us at Khewat No. 30. It is a typical village setup with nothing much to look at. We are just a collection of farmers from this part of the district. We have all seen the way the world is changing and decided we needed to change with it. That is why we started this producer company. It helps us deal with the middle-men who always seem to take a bigger cut of the money than they should. We spend our days out in the fields and our evenings talking about how to improve things for everyone. It is not a glamorous job at all. You get dirty and you get very tired by the end of the day. But there is a certain pride in growing food for people. We do not have a mission statement or anything like that. We mostly talk in the shade of the trees. We just want to make sure we do not lose money every single year. We help each other out with seeds or when someone’s tractor breaks down unexpectedly. It is a community thing more than a corporate thing for us. We do not really care about being the biggest or the best, we just want to be fair and honest with each other. We are just regular folks.
