Bhalal Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Garhi Bhalal, which is part of the Gharaunda area in Karnal. If you know Karnal, you know it’s the heart of farming in this part of the country. We set up our office at VPO Garhi Bhalal, Barsat, near house number 76. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Most of our resources go back into the work we do on the land. Being a producer company means we have to be organized, which was a bit of a change for some of us who were used to just doing things on our own. There’s a lot of back-and-forth between the fields and the desk. We handle things like seed procurement and helping each other out with equipment when someone’s tractor is down. The community here is tight-knit. We’ve all known each other for years, so trusting each other with the company was the easy part. The hard part is dealing with the fluctuating prices and the ever-changing weather patterns we get in Haryana. We just want to keep the tradition of farming alive in Bhalal while making it a bit more sustainable for the younger generation coming up. It’s not glamorous, and there are many long days where we wonder why we started this, but then you see the progress and it makes sense. We are just local people trying to make a living from the ground we stand on.
