Bala Ji Rice Mills

We’ve been here on G.T. Road for a long time. People around here know the mill well. It's noisy and dusty, but that's just how it is in this line of work. We deal with farmers and traders coming in and out all day long. Most days start very early, usually before the sun is even up. We have a mix of old machines and some newer ones too. It gets extremely busy during the harvest season. We just focus on getting the rice processed and out the door. The traffic on G.T. Road is always a mess, but it makes it easy for the big trucks to find our gates. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech here. It's just a regular mill doing regular work. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it rains unexpectedly and we have to cover everything, but we just keep going. The staff has been around for years, and we are more like a big family. We know the local rice varieties very well. It's honest work and it keeps us busy. The yard is usually full of heavy sacks waiting for the next truck to arrive. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can without making too many mistakes. It’s not a quiet job by any means, but we like being part of the local trade here. You can see the steam from the boilers from quite a distance away. We've seen a lot of changes on this road over the years, but the mill stays pretty much the same.
