Arora Rice Mills

Arora Rice Mills is on Plot No. 21 in the New Colony area. We are right across from the Magistrate Residency, which makes the location easy to describe to visitors. It is a bit of a quieter part of town compared to the main markets, but we still have plenty of activity. The mill is our main focus every day. We handle the processing of various rice varieties that come in from the surrounding farms. The building itself is older, but we keep it in good shape so the machinery stays reliable. It is a family-oriented vibe here, with most of us having worked together for a long time. We do not use complicated marketing words to describe what we do. We just take the raw paddy and turn it into rice that people can cook. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved. Sacks have to be moved and stacked constantly. On a hot day, it gets pretty stuffy inside the mill, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We have seen many seasons come and go from this spot in New Colony. People know us as the place across from the Residency. We stay busy and try to make sure the rice comes out the way it should without making a big fuss about it. It is just steady work that keeps us going from sunrise to sunset. Sometimes the trucks arrive late, and we have to stay to finish the unloading, but that is just part of the routine here.
