Zorba Leather Footwear

Our place, Zorba Leather Footwear, is located at H- 2/54 Krishnapuram, right off the G. T Road. It’s a decent spot for a footwear business because it's easy to find. We work mostly with leather, so the shop often has that specific smell of tanned hides. We don’t have a huge showroom with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s more of a workshop where we keep the stock and talk to customers who drop by. We’ve been working with shoes for a long time. It’s a lot of hands-on work, checking the quality and making sure the sizes are right. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just part of being near the G. T Road. We keep the benches busy and the shelves full. People come to us because they know we’re practical about what we do. We aren't trying to be a high-end fashion brand from a magazine. We just make and sell footwear that people can actually use. It gets busy during certain times of the year, and we might fall behind on cleaning the back room, but the shoes always get out. It’s a family-run feel here, even if it’s just a few of us. We just stick to what we know, which is leather and the G. T Road. It’s a simple life and we’re okay with that. Most of the time it is just about making sure the soles are glued right.
