Zam Zam Tanners

We are Zam Zam Tanners, located at 13 / 392 E in the Civil Lines area. We’ve been using Post Box No. 383 for as long as I can remember for our mail. Civil Lines is a bit of a classic part of town, and our building fits right in. It’s an older structure, but it’s sturdy and has plenty of room for what we do. Tanning is a tough business, and it’s definitely not a clean office job. There’s a lot of heavy lifting and physical labor involved. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. The floors are worn down from years of moving materials back and forth. We just focus on the task at hand. Our day starts early, usually before the sun is fully up, to beat the worst of the heat. We don’t have a website with a bunch of fancy photos or a person answering phones with a script. If you call, you’ll probably just talk to one of us who has to wipe their hands before picking up. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s where we know everyone, and everyone knows us. It’s a straightforward way to live and work. We aren't looking to change much. We just want to keep doing what we’ve been doing for years. It’s what we know best and what we have always done for this community.
